Emails land in your inbox faster than you can think. Read the subject, hit one of three keys, move on. Seven can wait at once; the eighth ends your day. Get one wrong and it comes back — and it tells you exactly why you were wrong, which is the only tutorial this game has.
Following up on my last email— Reply. Someone is waiting on you.IT Service Desk: verify your credentials within 24 hours— Spam. IT never asks by email.Quick question about your tech stack— Spam. A sales email wearing a question mark.
The rules fit in a sentence. The difficulty is entirely in the reading, and the mean ones are mean on purpose: an automated notification that happens to contain a question, a cold sales pitch that opens like a colleague, a genuine invoice from a vendor you have never heard of.
Clear all 45 for Inbox Zero. Do it without a single misfile and that is spotless — which is rare, and is the thing to chase. Today's inbox is the same for everyone, and there is a streak.
A run takes about a minute. No sound, nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. Over a shoulder it looks like you are finally clearing your inbox.
